Annual Scientific Art Competition at Penn School of Medicine, for Graduate Students and Postdocs

Re: Perelman School of Medicine Scientific Art Competition for Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Fellows
I am pleased to announce the second annual Art in Science Competition at the Perelman School of Medicine. The competition’s goal is to raise awareness and bring exposure to the artistic merit of scientific images and interpretation. The competition is divided into two categories for judging: Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Fellows. An award of $250 will be given to the best image in each category.
In addition to the prize, the postdoctoral category image will also be featured as the cover image for all materials at the 2014 BPC Symposium in November.
At this time, I invite you to forward images or illustrations for consideration to Kristine Gindele.
Please include the following information:
- Your Name and/or names of research collaborators engaged in the study
- A short description of the research finding associated with the image
All images must be submitted in one of the following formats: .jpg, .ping, .ai, .psd. Resolution of the image must be at least 300 dpi with a higher resolution preferred.Any questions regarding formatting can be directed to Kristine Gindele.
Deadline for participation is Monday, July 7th.
